Following the successful growth of Lifestyle Strides and the expansion of our community programmes, we are growing our Associate Team to support new opportunities across Greater Manchester.

Associates deliver flexible paid sessions across our community programmes in Trafford, Stockport, Manchester and other Greater Manchester locations.

Current Associate Opportunities

Lifestyle Strides is expanding its programmes across Greater Manchester and we are currently recruiting Associate Facilitators. We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced professionals in the following areas:

We are interested in hearing from facilitators with experience in one or more of the following areas.

You do not need to cover every area. We welcome specialists as well as versatile facilitators who can deliver across several themes.

The Lifestyle Strides Approach

Qualifications and technical knowledge matter, but so does the way you work with people. We are looking for associates who:

  • Make beginners feel safe, welcome and included
  • Can adapt activities for different abilities and health needs
  • Understand the needs of midlife and older adults
  • Communicate clearly and warmly
  • Are reliable, organised and professional
  • Respect cultural, social and economic differences
  • Believe that health and wellbeing support should be accessible
  • Can work independently while representing the Lifestyle Strides ethos
  • Are willing to complete attendance, safeguarding and monitoring requirements

How the associate model works

Flexible Paid Opportunities

Lifestyle Strides Associates are engaged for specific sessions, workshops, programme blocks or community projects according to their skills, location and availability.

Weekly community sessions

One-off specialist workshops
Walking and outdoor activities
Workplace wellbeing sessions
Digital or online delivery

Community events and launch sessions

Being accepted into the Associate Network does not guarantee a fixed number of hours. It means we can contact suitable associates as funded and commissioned opportunities become available.

Associates will normally work on a freelance or sessional basis. The rate, location, responsibilities and programme duration will be agreed before any assignment begins.

Some opportunities may also be delivered online. Candidates should be able to identify which locations they can reasonably travel to.

    If your experience matches current or upcoming work, we will get in touch for a friendly conversation about the programmes involved.

    Compliance and paperwork

    Before any session is offered we confirm DBS, first aid and insurance requirements for that specific opportunity, and agree the rate with you.

    Joining the associate pool

    If there is nothing suitable right now, we keep your details on file and contact you as new opportunities come up across Greater Manchester.
